1. About us and these terms

This website is operated by Kerry Billson, a sole trader trading as ADHDementia, of [business address to follow] ("we", "us", "our"). By using this website or our services you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

2. The most important term: we do not diagnose

The ADHDementia screening tool, online course, guides, research papers, blog articles and all other content on this site are educational and reflective resources. They are not diagnostic instruments, not clinical assessments, and not medical, legal or professional advice.

Nothing on this site can confirm or rule out ADHD, dementia or any other condition. A screening result is not a diagnosis and must never be recorded as one. Only a suitably qualified clinician can diagnose, and decisions about assessment, medication and clinical care belong with clinicians.

If you are concerned about anyone's memory, thinking, mood, physical health or behaviour, seek advice from a GP or other qualified professional. In an emergency, contact emergency services.

3. Professional responsibility

If you use our resources in a care setting, you remain fully responsible for the care you provide and for your own regulatory obligations, including those to the Care Quality Commission or equivalent regulators. Our materials are intended to support your professional judgement, never to replace it, and they do not override your organisation's policies, your clinical governance arrangements, or any individual's care plan.

Suggested adjustments in our materials are options to consider, not instructions. Whether any adjustment is appropriate for a particular person is a decision for that person, their family and their care team, taking account of individual risk assessment, capacity and consent.

4. Using the screening tool

The screening tool runs in your browser and does not transmit answers to us. You are responsible for how you use, store and share any report it produces, and for obtaining appropriate consent before screening another person. Where a person lacks capacity to consent, you must follow the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and your own best interests procedures.

The screening tool is provided free of charge. We may change or withdraw it at any time. You may use it as often as you wish within your own organisation, but you may not resell it, republish it, or present it as your own.

5. Membership

Care Home Membership is not yet on sale. This section applies once it opens, and these terms will be updated before any payment is taken for it.

• Membership is licensed to a single named care home unless your agreement says otherwise. Groups are priced and licensed separately.
• Membership includes unlimited completions of the online course by staff employed at or working in that home, and a certificate for each person who passes.
• Access is for your own staff only. You may not share log-in details outside your organisation, or use membership to train staff of homes not covered by it.
• Membership renews monthly until cancelled. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of your current billing period.
• We do not refund part-months, but you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice. Founding rates, where granted, are honoured for as long as the membership remains continuously active.
• We may suspend or end access where these terms are breached, including unauthorised sharing.

6. Training, webinars and consultancy

• Bookings are confirmed in writing, and confirmation forms a contract on these terms together with any specific terms in your booking.
• Open webinars: places are charged per person and payable at the time of booking. Sessions run with a minimum of four participants; if a date does not reach the minimum we will transfer your place to the next available date or refund it in full, at your choice. Places are limited to 20 per session. Places may be transferred to a colleague at any time, and cancelled for a full refund up to seven days before the session.
• Payment: 50 per cent on booking to secure the date, and the balance within 30 days of delivery.
• Cancellation by you: more than 28 days before the date, a full refund less any travel or accommodation already booked and not recoverable; 14 to 28 days before, 50 per cent of the fee; fewer than 14 days before, no refund. We will always try to reschedule rather than charge where circumstances are genuinely unavoidable.
• Cancellation by us: if we cannot deliver a session, we will offer an alternative date or a full refund.
• On-site sessions: travel and, where required, accommodation are charged at cost in addition to the session fee. You are responsible for providing a suitable training space and for ensuring staff attendance.
• Certificates: certificates confirm attendance or completion. They do not confer any professional qualification or registration.
• Confidentiality: where training or consultancy involves resident information, both parties will keep it confidential, and you will anonymise information wherever possible before sharing it with us.

7. Guides and downloads

The guide shop is not yet open. When it opens, purchased guides are licensed to the purchasing individual or organisation for internal use, including sharing with your own staff. They may not be resold, published, or shared outside your organisation without our written permission. Because downloads are supplied immediately, you agree that your statutory right to cancel is lost once the download begins, to the extent permitted by law.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this site, including the ADHDementia screening framework, the course, research papers, guides and branding, is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by copyright. You may read it, print single copies and quote short extracts with attribution.

You may not reproduce, republish, adapt, distribute or use our content commercially, or use it to build a competing screening tool or training product, without our written permission.

9. Accuracy and availability

We take care to keep our content accurate and to reflect the evidence honestly, including its limitations. Research develops, and we update material as it does, but we do not warrant that content is complete or current at any given moment.

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on our educational content, for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, goodwill or data. Our total liability in connection with any service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service.

If you use our services as a business, you accept that our resources support but do not replace your own clinical and professional decision-making.

11. Third party links

Our site links to external sources, including research and regulatory guidance. We are not responsible for the content of those sites.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they were last changed, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
